Thanks for your continued support of the Benevolent Fund and the charities we assist.
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Neil Roy, father of DC Darrell Roy, grandfather of Firefighter Darrell Roy Jr (106B) and grandfather in law of Firefighter Ryan Taylor (101B) on Wednesday, at the age of 86. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Roy family at this most difficult time.
For those who wish, the family would prefer donations be made to the Mississauga Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund, or charity of one’s choice in lieu of flowers.
With your support and generous donations, the Tim Hortons Move for Kids' Sake Campaign benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel was able to raise $62,624.55!
Thank you for for supporting the mental health of young people in our community!
Thank you for your support!
Thank you to everyone who donated and suppported our team for this year's Coldest Night of The Year Walk! With the help of all the combined teams from Mississauga Meadowdale, we were able to raise $88,128 benefitting The Dam, surpassing their $70,000 goal!
Pink Truck Tour 2020
With your support The Pink Truck Tour 2020 surpassed all previous totals and set a new record. This year’s campaign raised a whopping $58,350.37 which is donated to Trillium Health Partners (Trillium, Queensway, and Credit Valley Hospital) and is still going up as donations are continually coming in. The funds will help fund Cancer programs that treat all types of cancers and help patients get the treatment they need.
Thanks to everyone who bought a shirt or sweater, contributed their time or assisted the campaign in any way. A special thank you to the staff at Station 101, your dedication to this campaign has played a pivotal role in the funds raised. It was a team effort and one that couldn’t have been accomplished without the drive of our dedicated Pink Committee – Roger Pardy, Todd Bedard, Sudhir Misra, Steve Marshall, Kathleen Cymek (Trillium), Deloan D’sa (Trillium) and myself.
Thank you to Fire Chief Tim Beckett who has been behind this program 100% from the onset and the cooperation of the senior staff (Assistant Chiefs, PC’s and DC’s) was vital in making this program run as smooth as it did. Lastly, to our sponsors, this campaign would not be where it is today without them and we loudly and proudly thank them.
Thanks to you all!!!!!
Signing off until next year’s campaign…..
