About the Event
Fighting for better cancer care today – and for the future.
In the next 10 years, the annual number of new cancer cases is predicted to increase by 25 per cent. That’s an estimated 115,306 cases by the year 2030.
Help us keep up with increasing demand and send more patients home to their loved ones by supporting better cancer care in our community. By purchasing a t-shirt or making a donation to the Mississauga Fire’s Pink Truck Tour fundraising campaign your supporting the residents of Mississauga, Peel Region and west Toronto who rely on Trillium Health Partners (THP) for rapid cancer diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and psychosocial care.
For the safety of our community and partners, the tour stops will look a little bit different this year:
- Each truck stop will be outdoors
- Masks will be worn by all volunteers
- Shirts will be individually wrapped
- Tap payment also available
- Tape markings to ensure those picking up their shirts are six feet apart
We ask that anyone coming to a tour stop to pick up a shirt abide by these safety precautions and stay home if you are not feeling well.
